This is a members only fishery
Padworth is Calpac’s jewel in the crown fishery, as it is one of the most stunning stretches of the lower River Kennet. The species present are Chub, Barbel, Roach, Dace, Pike, Perch, Bream, Brown Trout, and Grayling. The fishery offers about 700m of fishing, with many varied swims available to all types of anglers.
Fly fishing for Trout and Grayling is allowed on this fishery. No more than two Brown Trout to be removed on any given day. Once this limit has been reached, a catch and release policy must be followed.
To get there: Turn off the M4 at Junction 12 and travel along the A4 for approximately five miles. Turn left into Padworth Lane, follow the road over the railway and canal swing bridge for about 300m. The car park will be on your left, just before the river bridge.
Please either park in the car park (key needed), or in a layby close to the fishery
This is a Rota booking water for clubs on a Sunday. Please check the Rota bookings page prior to travel.
